Royal Welsh Young Brood Mare Class. In previous Years she has been 7th and 8th

Birtley Queens of Diamonds
Stoak
Madelaine
Stoak Madeline, is another brood mare which we own. She was born in 1989 - Sire is Stoak Jagur and Dam is Weston Michelle. We purchased Madelaine at Fayre Oak's in 1998, as a brood mare to go with our Weston bred stallion Brookhouse Chuckler.
At this time she was in foal to Lemonshill Hylight and produced a lovely palomino colt on our daughter's birthday so the only name we could give it was, Birtley Birthday Boy . Tigger as he is affectionately known was shown as a foal after weaning becoming 2nd at Church Stretton Foal Show and 3rd at Central Native Breeds Foal Show.
In 2000 Madelaine Produced a filly called Birtley Millie by Brookhouse Chuckler. She wasn't shown until she was weaned and then she was 3rd at NCPA Shropshire Foal Show and 3rd at Midland Welsh Foal Show.
Before we purchased Madelaine she had bred many prize winners, including Stoak Marie by Lemonshill Hylight, becoming 1st and reserve supreme ridden at the Royal Welsh Show 2000 .

BIRTLEY MISS BOBBY (122603) born 2000
Birtley Miss Bobby was born at my parents farm, as we had other mares foaling at the same time, and was a very strong foal. Bobby was born grey/dun, which is typical for a Birtley Mister Moon foal and so I thought with a quick glance that she was a colt, hence the name Bobby. It was not until later in the daylight that I actually had a proper check and saw that, in fact, Bobby was a filly and, as I am very loathed to change a name once given, she became Birtley Miss Bobby. As usual with all Mister Moon stock they do need time to mature and develop. Bobby is a beautiful up to height mare and in 2006 had a filly by Brookhouse Chuckler, called Birtley Mrs Moon (Binny). Bobby is a lovely mother and has milked very well for a maiden mare. This year she has had another filly, who we have called Birtley Sprite, by my black stallion, Hilin Knightrider. Sprite is entered for Fayre Oaks.

Hever Willa (75584) by Paddock Gemini out of Hever Guinevere.
Willa was bought at Fayre Oaks to go to Brookhouse Chuckler, she had been very successful in Scotland (Pg 134 WPCS 1991 Journal). Willa was not a very big mare only standing at 12.1 but a very well made mare. She was very successfully shown by us and was Midlands broodmare of the year. Sadly Willa could not carry a foal longer that 10 months and 15 days and so she caught me out the first time she foaled. Luckily Willa was a very good milking mare and always did her foals well. We showed Willa in-hand and we were successful. Willa was Point Winner and Best Brood mare for the Central Native Breeds Association in 1998. Birtley Lucky Joe (Chestnut Colt) – Sire Brookhouse Chuckler - Sold Birtley Bright n Early (Chestnut Colt) – Sire Brookhouse Chuckler – Sold and doing very well under saddle Birtley Lady Luck (Chestnut Filly) – Sire Brookhouse Chuckler - retained within stud.
