exciting young stallion has also produced some outstanding
youngstock, including Birtley Merlyn.
He has a lovely temperament which he is passing on
to his stock and he has crossed well with both Mistermoon and
Chuckler daughters He is 12h 3in with plenty of bone.

Chuckler has an exceptionally good temperament, which
he passes on to his stock.
He has been very successful in the show
ring, including 1st and Supreme Champion CNBA stallion show,
Reserve Champion Leominster, 7th Glyn Greenwood final Mountain and
Moorland at PUK, 2nd (2 years in a row) at NCPA pony of the year section
B stallion, Champion Section B stallion at Midland Welsh Pony
Association show (at 15yrs) in 2000 and many more.
Chuckler has only been available to limited mares over the years but his
stock have been very successful. Below is a list of just a few…. Moelgarnedd Madonna – 3rd Royal Welsh broodmare class in 1998. She is also the dam of 2 Royal Welsh Winners in 1998 as well. These were Moelgarnedd Dewin and Moelgarnedd Merdyin. Madonna is also the dam of Moelgarnedd Calypso, who was Supreme Champion Aberystwyth and Ceredigion, Supreme Champion Clywd Association Stallion Show and the top priced Section B at Fayre Oaks at £5300gns in 2004. Another of her offspring is Moelgarnedd Derwyn, Royal Welsh Reserve Champion B in 2005, Champion at the National Show in Shrewsbury and then second in the Cuddy final at HOYS. In 2008 he was a winner at Royal Cornwall, Devon County, Bath & West and NPS champs, amongst others. Moelgarnedd Romano is a proven Wembley pony and qualified for HOYS in 1999, PUK in 1999 and 2000 plus many wins in SHP, M&M, WHP, a real all round competition pony. Birtley Dawn (out of Seaholm Damsel) has been lightly but successfully shown, have been 1st twice and also 8th at the Royal Welsh in the foal class. Dawn has been retained within the stud. Birtley Sir Hal (out of Silverdale Jade, the dam of Birtley Mister Moon) was 1st three times, including Church Stretton Summer Show, Reserve Champion West Midland Breeders Foal Show and was 2nd three times. These were the only times he was shown. Birtley Lady Grey (also out of Silverdale Jade)was 1st at Central Native Breeds Association, 2nd Midlands Welsh Breeders Foal Show, 3rd at Severn Valley Foal show plus other 2nd places. Lady was only lightly shown when she was with us but since has gone on to be 2nd at Monmouth Show in 2006. Lady is the Dam of Birtley Golden Boy who is a successful ridden pony, including 3rd at the 2007 Welsh Performance show in the First Ridden class. Eyarth Isadora was sold to Holland in 1991 for £1300 at Fayre Oaks. Isadora is the dam of Shamrock Backstage Imperial, Section B medal winner at the Dutch Welsh Stallion Show in 2001 and also the dam of Hoekhorst Imperial, 4th Royal Welsh in 2004 and the Dutch grading show in 2006 Birtley Lady Luck (dam of Birtley First Addition who was sold at 8 weeks to Denmark. Addition graded 99988 at their grading show as a 3yo and in 2010 has sired the filly who scored 99899 as a 2 year old. For more details please see the Mares page. Birtley Mille (out of Stoak Madelaine) is a top class jumping and pony club pony and also a safe hunter with her 8yr old jockey. Birtley Minstrel, shown successfully as a foal and yearling, a lovely colt with a kind temperament and some of his stock is now in Norway. Birtley Daydream (out of Seaholm Damsel) Daisy was reserve champion as a foal and as a three year old at medal shows. She has been retained within the stud. For more information please see Mares page. Birtley Sir Percy was 1st a Kington show, 2nd at Monmouth show, he is a Bronze medal winning colt and was 4th at the winter fair in 2007. He is now a first season sire in Denmark Birtley Corn Poppy (Percy’s full sister) was successfully shown as a foal, yearling and 3yr old. Doddenhill Passion Flower has been successfully shown as a foal and in youngstock classes. Passion Flower is a very successful WHP and all round competition pony at cross country, show jumping and has had many days hunting. For further pictures please see WPCS 2006 Calendar for February. Birtley Rainbow Quest qualified RIHS and HOYS as a first ridden show hunter pony in his first season under saddle.
